A lot of Pink!

Hello!

I created this birthday card few weeks ago for a close friend, which fits this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge theme, A Hint of Pink. Well, it was more than a hint though. Lol.

I die-cut the circles using stitched circle dies from SSS, and added acetate to create shaker windows. I then added a sentiment and mix of pink and white sequins before sticking the card front to the card base.

For the bottom window, I decide to have this cute little pig peeping through to the inside of the card. I must admit it was a "delicate operation" to ensure that the circle windows for both card front and base match!

Overall, this card took up more time than expected but I got so much satisfaction out of making it!

I am participating in the following challenges with this card:

Ham It Up!

Hello! I finally had the chance to play with one of my favorite stamp sets from MFT, BB Hog Heaven.

I made this very pink birthday card for someone who loves pink.

I stamped all the hogs, colored them in various shades of pink, and arranged them behind the Stitched Photo Frame dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

I added sentiments from the same stamp set to the photo frames before popping these cute hogs behind the frames.

I also stuck some lace ribbon from my stash  to the bottom of the pink card.

Copic colors used are:
RV91, 93, 95
RV00, 11, 32
R81, R83, 85
R46, 56, 59 (heart)

I'm submitting this card for the following challenge:

The Ton March Challenge

A lot of my favorite background stamps are from The Ton. Their floral stamps are striking, but challenging to stamp as they are so large! Getting a perfect stamp usually involves stamping more than once, which helps if one has a stamping tool like the MISTI.

I do not have the MISTI, so I didn't get a perfect stamp for the embossing. Well, anyway, I went ahead to emboss it with the Rose embossing powder from The Ton and it turned out all right. :)

I then watercolored the largest flower with Gamsai Tambi watercolors, mixing the red and white to get the pink. I thought I will try the shimmer white and it gave the flower a beautiful frosty effect. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture it on camera.

All-Pink Name Card Holder

I started out intending to create a shaker card but it morphed into a name card holder as I went along.

A frame was first created to hold this beautiful card from Lili of the Valley, which I added Martha Stewart's extra fine glitter to turn it into a shaker card.

I then decided to add a name card holder, and a sentiment as the space next to the frame looked empty.

Am submitting this card for the SSS Wednesday Challenge: Think Pink.

Celebrate in Paris!

Hello! It's been a while since I have posted on my blog. It's been crazy at home but I just had to make time to create a card with this Saturated Canary image when I saw their online challenge. I lovvvvve SC images. My coloring is not as good as those who have submitted but well, you never know till you try!

Copic colours I have used on her dress and hat are:

V000, R81, R83, R85, R89

I drew in some flowers on her dress, like the one on her hat and coloured them silver just to create some pattern on the dress.

I am submitting this card for Saturated Canary's July Coloring Contest. Good luck to me!

Thanks for dropping by. :)
