Simon Says: Food and/or Drink

Hello! I'm back today to take part in the latest Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:

These Mama Elephant's little dogs are so cute. My son and I coloured them and I fuzzy-cut the coloured images to dance around an elegant birthday sentiment from JustRite. I heat embossed the birthday sentiment with Ranger blue glitter embossing powder and love the effect. Unfortunately, I am unable to fully capture the glitter of the sentiment in my photo.

I decided to create my own background with a diagonal strips background stamp and Hero Arts ombre ink. This was my first successful attempt at using the Hero Arts ombre ink pad and I must thank my WRMK stamping tool!

Lastly, I used the same ombre ink to stamp a sentiment from Penny Black inside the card and stuck another cute dog next to the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great time!

Furry Friends

Hi! Today's blog is a birthday card that has the sentiment as the focal point.

I stamped, coloured and fuzzy-cut these cute puppies from Mama Elephant and adhered them around the sentiment.

I also included some buttons I had in my stash, with one of the buttons acting as a ball for the juggling puppy.

Lastly, I included a sentiment and a puppy inside the card.

Overall, this is a cute card that I enjoyed making for the recipient.

I'm submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Furry Friends.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a good day!

Hoot Hoot!

Hello!

I'm back today to share a cute birthday card I made for someone who adores owls.

I created this card pretty fast as I already had the design in mind. I don't know about other crafters but I usually spend more time planning a card instead of the actual making of the card. Lol

I adhered a doily to a 6" by 6" kraft cardbase before sticking the sentiment and the owls around the sentiment. After that, I die-cut a circle on the white textured card front, covered the circle with acetate and tied some twine around the card front before using foam tape to stick it down.

I had created this card with white cardstock as I wanted the focus to be on the colourful owls, and this coincidentally fitted in with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge's theme, Snow White. Hence, I'm submitting this card for the challenge.

Have a good week ahead. It's already Wednesday!

Simon Says Stamp Wed Challenge: Anything Goes

Hello!

I have made two Halloween-themed cards since Halloween is round the corner. These are birthday cards for two October babies.

I used Mama Elephant's Grid Window die to create nine windows to place the cute ghosts and monsters from MFT's Fab-Boo-Lous stamp set.

I colored the images using alcohol markers, selecting the Halloween colors of orange, green and purple. This color combination looks so bright and cheery. I love it!

I then added sequins to some of the windows to turn this into a shaker card.

Shaker cards are fun to make and I'm sure I will be making more. These two cards are so cute that I was a bit reluctant to mail them out. Haha. Anyway, I can always make more.

A good weekend to all!

Simon Says: Photo Inspiration

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week's theme is Simon Says: Photo Inspiration.

I coloured up this cute image from Whimsy Stamps with alcohol markers, and die-cut it with a square scalloped die from Spellbinders.

I then adhered the image to a piece of glitter paper with beautiful silver dots and added some die-cut frames in hues of lilac.  I also threaded a shiny lilac ribbon through the background paper on the left.

Lastly, I adhered a sentiment "hugs", which I embossed on grey cardstock.

That's it from me for today. Happy crafting!

Simon Says: It's A Dog's Life

Hello! I'm sharing a card today to take part in Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This week's theme is "It's A Dog's Life", and I have just the card for it!

I stamped this puppy stamp from Lili of the Valley on white cardstock and die-cut it with a circle die from Whimsy Stamps. I then colored it with promarkers.

I found this matching floral paper in my stash and used it as background paper, matting it with pink and red cardstock.

I adhered the colored image on the floral paper before adding twine, sentiment and lots of rhinestone around the image.

That's it from me for now. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Hello! Today my post is about a Christmas card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge -- Simon Says: Christmas.

I created the background with a Simon Says Stamp stencil and distress oxide. I decided to deviate from the usual Christmas colors and instead create something in pastel colors. The color combination is simply gorgeous and I love the chalky feel of distress oxide!

To turn it into a Christmas card, I die-cut the words, Peace, Love and Joy from Penny Black dies in shimmer white cardstock. However, the words blended in with the busy background, so I die-cut the same words in pink as shadows. This allowed the white words to stand out from the background.

Lastly, I added a grey snowflake die-cut at the bottom right corner of the card to have a little bit of winter.

Supplies used are:
Simon Says Stencil Heart Mandala
Penny Black peace love dies
Distress oxides: picked raspberry, salty ocean, twisted citron

That's all I have for now. Till next time!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 353

Hello!
I'm back today to share a card I made for the latest MFT challenge.

I decided to create a Kraft card, but started out with no idea on which MFT image to use. I finally settled on this cute fairy and coloured her up with pink and green shades.

I love creating shaker cards so couldn't resist filling the circle with lots of sequins and a beautiful floral background.

I then decorated the card further with white floral stickers and butterflies for a whimsical feel. And of course, how can I miss out glitter? Lol. I coated the fairy wings, her dress and hair band with Wink of Stella for that glittery and magical feel!

That's it from me. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Hello! Today, I'm back to take part in the SSS Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes

I die-cut a fishtail banner with Create A Smile Die and adhered it on a doily, which I adhered  an A2 card. I then colored a sunflower stamp from Penny Black and adhered it in front of the fishtail banner.

I found this Dream Big sentiment which I had die-cut earlier and it matches the color scheme perfectly! This sentiment die is from Penny Black and is one of my favorites.

The twine and star are all long-ago purchases in my stash and I am glad to be able to use them on this card (I need to reduce my stock of embellishments!).

I added some stickers and crystals to doll up the card, and used Wink of Stella on the sentiment and sunflower stamp, after which I decided, "Ok, this card has enough embellishments!" Lol

Lastly, I stuck the A2 card on a same-sized card base. Overall, I am pretty happy with how this card turned out.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Up, Up and Away!

Hello! I'm back this time with a cute birthday card. This is a 6" x 6" shaker card which I made for a friend's birthday.

I die-cut two balloon shapes on the patterned paper and filled it with sequins of varying colors. I then popped the patterned paper with foam tape before adhering it to the pink card base.

I coloured and fuzzy-cut these cute stamps from Mama Elephant and also used a sentiment from the same stamp set. I adhered the sentiment before the boy so that I can position him to stand on the sentiment. I then used some twine to tie the balloons to the boy and girl to make it seem like they are each holding on to a balloon.

Lastly, I adhered another boy holding on to a balloon on the inside of the card. This boy looks like he is being carried away by the big balloon, which I find so cute!

Supplies used:
  • Mama Elephant Carried Away
  • MFT party balloons dies

That's all for this card. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Congrats Bear

This card is something I did on a whim and on the fly (not for any challenges).

I took two bears I had die-cut earlier and quickly coloured them up. I had the patchwork-like background and alphabet die-cuts in my stash and decided to combine one of the bears with what I had to create a congrats card.

Didn't turn out too bad eh? lol

Supplies used:

  • Mama Elephant page huggers stamp set
  • Altenew inline alpha die set

Have a good weekend ahead!

Wishing everyone a happy life.

MFT September Challenges

I can't believe it. It's been two months since I last posted. Where did time go? Anyway, I'm back with a card for the MFT Sketch and Color Challenges.

I found a pattern paper in the colors required by the MFT Color Challenge, and created a card in the layout of the Sketch Challenge.

I stuck two cute MFT giraffes in the windows looking at each other with the sentiment, "Hello", like two friends greeting each other. It was hard to leave the right portion "blank" as I'm not used to such a layout but I did. Lol

This card is taking part in the following challenges:

That's all from me. Have a good day (or evening)!

Prince Charming or Dragon?

Good morning! Today, I'm sharing a notebook I made for a birthday boy born in the year of the Dragon. I find the MFT Magical Dragons stamp set so apt and decided to create a scene with this set for the front cover of the notebook.

I colored the "main characters" before fussy-cutting them out and adhering them to a white background. I then sealed it behind a transparent cover as I wanted to keep the white background clean. After all, this is a notebook and will get dirty over time.

Here is a look at the entire cover. I'm submitting this design for the MFT Sketch Challenge 342, which my layout coincidentally matches. How nice!

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day (or evening)!

Warm Wishes

I created this card some time ago when I was in the mood for making coffee-themed cards. I created three in a row and kept this away.

This card is now good to share with the coffee lovers' blog hop!

I stamped the tea cup from Altenew's Vintage Teacup stamp set and fuzzy-cut it, and adhered it to a kraft card base. I then heat-embossed the sentiment from Mama Elephant's Cup of Wishes stamp set.

Overall, this is a simple card and didn't take me long to create it.

I'm submitting this card for:

MFT Color Challenge 69

Hello! This round's MFT color challenge got me thinking about making a bookmark instead of a card. I used MFT's Bundles of Blossom BG stamp to make two bookmarks.

For the first bookmark, I simply blended some distress inks together on both sides of the bookmark. I used peacock feathers, pickled raspberry, squeezed lemonade and twisted citron.

On the other side of the bookmark, I added a sentiment from a Penny Black stamp set.

For the second bookmark, I decided to use color pencils, and regretted it almost immediately. There were just too many flowers and details on this stamp to color! Lol. However, I was pretty happy with the outcome. The bookmark looked so pretty with all the colors!

I used squeezed lemonade to lightly distress the back of the bookmark.

As mentioned, these cards are for the MFT Color Challenge 69.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and have a good day/ evening ahead. :)

Black, White and Bright!

I have wanted to use this Lawn Fawn Fairies stamp set for the longest time but didn't get around to it till recently.

I was wondering how to use this beautiful piece of designer paper when inspiration struck and I decided to use this paper as the background for the fairies.

I used Pink and Main's Hello die as the focus and placed the fairies around it. I added the cute little lamp to the purple fairy as though she was lighting up the Hello.

I added shimmer to all the fairies to give them a magical feel.

I couldn't decide which fairy to leave out so I used them all! Lol

A lot of Pink!

Hello!

I created this birthday card few weeks ago for a close friend, which fits this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge theme, A Hint of Pink. Well, it was more than a hint though. Lol.

I die-cut the circles using stitched circle dies from SSS, and added acetate to create shaker windows. I then added a sentiment and mix of pink and white sequins before sticking the card front to the card base.

For the bottom window, I decide to have this cute little pig peeping through to the inside of the card. I must admit it was a "delicate operation" to ensure that the circle windows for both card front and base match!

Overall, this card took up more time than expected but I got so much satisfaction out of making it!

I am participating in the following challenges with this card:

Spring Colors

I made this card some time ago but never got around to sharing it online.

I colored this cute Whimsy stamp with Promarkers, before I got my scraps of DSPs together to form a card. I also found a ribbon from my stash to add on to the card.

I finally added some shimmer to the red heart balloon.

I am submitting this card for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Spring Color Inspiration.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a wonderful time ahead!

Xoxo
