TGF Farm Fresh Challenge 2

I made three more notebooks using the TGF stamps. I chosed the images based on their resemblance to my male colleagues, as these notebooks are their Christmas gifts.

I had a lot of fun colouring the images and heat-embossing the sentiments for the back covers of the notebooks. I think I am going to create more of such  notebooks!

It has been a long, long while since my last post. I got back to a full-time job and started renovations for my home. With all these on my plate, my crafting and blog took a back seat.

I finally took had a little time to create this cute little notebook with one of the TGF stamps from the Christmas set.

I used Promarkers to colour the image, and added red and green glitter to the Christmas gift box. What's Christmas without red and green right? :)

For the back cover of the notebook, I heat emboss with gold embossing powder.

Teachers' Day Gifts

Wow! The month of August just flew by! I was busy with kids, housework and vacation that I did not get much crafting done.

Well, I had to sit down and do something now that Teachers' Day is round the corner on 4 September.

I started making cards last week, and had such fun trying various crafting techniques. Almost every card is unique, except for the two cards for my older boy's male teachers. Male cards are so hard to make! :p

I also customized some notebooks as gifts and had lots of fun embossing these meaningful sentiments on the book covers. It was magical to see the powder melt and change color. I am in love with embossing!

The notebooks come in embossed white, pink, silver and platinum. The platinum is my favorite. The color is sooooo pretty but unfortunately, I am unable to capture it on camera.

From left: Platinum, white and pink sentiments

This is a CAS (Clean And Simple) cover in white embossing powder.

Sentiment embossed with platinum powder

Another version in pink glitter

This is the biggest and longest sentiment stamp I have, again embossed with platinum powder.

A sentiment about courage embossed with silver powder

That is all I have for today. Hope to be able to create more and update my blog again soon. Have a good day!

TGF July Farm Fresh Challenge

Good morning! Finally created another card after a while. :) This time, the card is for The Greeting Farm's July Farm Fresh Challenge: Red, White and Blue.

I just purchased TGF's creeper crew stamps and love them! Since I couldn't decide which to use, I decided to make a centre-fold card and have the two images on one card. In line with the red, white and blue theme, I alternate the colours and attached the male image (James) to the left panel and Piper to the right panel. So, if I wish to see James, I'll fold the right panel down first and hide Piper behind him, and vice versa.

I also split the Happy Birthday tag and have "Happy" on top and "Birthday" at the bottom, on different panels. I dry-embossed the blue and red panels with a honeycomb pattern to add more details to the cover, else the card looks a bit plain.

I feel quite proud with the outcome. : )

Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy your day!

Celebrate in Paris!

Hello! It's been a while since I have posted on my blog. It's been crazy at home but I just had to make time to create a card with this Saturated Canary image when I saw their online challenge. I lovvvvve SC images. My coloring is not as good as those who have submitted but well, you never know till you try!

Copic colours I have used on her dress and hat are:

V000, R81, R83, R85, R89

I drew in some flowers on her dress, like the one on her hat and coloured them silver just to create some pattern on the dress.

I am submitting this card for Saturated Canary's July Coloring Contest. Good luck to me!

Thanks for dropping by. :)

My First Gothic Creation

Hello! I created this notebook cover when I came across the Tiddlyinks Challenge on Gothic theme, and I thought, "Why not? I have not tried a gothic theme yet."

I had bought a few Tiddlyinks images last month and lucky for me, they are under the Gothic images category.

Instead of a card, I decided to create a notebook cover instead. I plan to list this notebook for sale and see if there are any takers.

I'm submitting this card for two challenges:

TiddlyInks Challenge #160 - Let's Get Gothic!

Without Words July Colour Challenge (Blue and Brown)

That's all from me for now. Enjoy your day (or evening) and thanks for dropping by.

The Greeting Farm Door Hanger

I have quite a few TGF images and they are all super cute gals, but I decided to pick this cute little fella instead. I made him into a door hanger for my son's room and place a button to replace the letter O.

I'm submitting this image for The Greeting Farm's June Challenge.

Have a good day or evening, depending on where you are. Cheerios! :)

Sassy Studio Designs June FB Challenge

Happy Birthday from Birthday Cake Sassy

Hello! Thank you for visiting my  blog. Today's card is made with the intention of participating in Sassy Studio Design's June FB Challenge.

I made this card to be a bit more masculine (brown stripped paper, aquamarine and silver) so that it is suitable for a male recipient.

I decided to colour the Happy Birthday die-cut with chalk and spray it with Fixative. My first attempt which turned out quite well. :)

Another first successful attempt - heat embossing! I can't tell you how many failed attempts I have faced with heat embossing, so I was most happy that I finally succeeded. Yahoooo!

I embossed the stamp with white pigment ink, covered the ink with white embossing powder before I heat-set it.

That's all I have for today. Have a good day!

Super Hot Pink!

Pink is my favourite colour (besides purple) so I feel very satisfied with the outcome of this card. :)

I got this rock chick, known as Punkette Peta, to take part in the Art by Miran Challenge #32 and decided to colour her in a hot pink to show her sweet yet rocker kind of image. I also gave her hair a "dip-dye" colour that youngsters seem to like in, what else, hot pink. :D

I coloured the skull on her skirt with silver glitter from Wink of Stella and stuck two crystals on its eyes (but it is not very visible on this image). I also added a red crystal to her dangling earring. Lots of glitter and pink!

Copic colours used:

Face: E000, E00, E11, E21, E04
Pink: RV02, Rv 04, RV06, RV09
Black: 100, W9, W7, W5, W3
Silver: C3, C5
Wink of Stella silver glitter

I already have in mind the recipient for this card. I believe she will like it as much as I do!

Art by Miran's Rora and Butterfly

This is my first Art by Miran image and I love colouring her long dress. It allowed me to put what I learnt from Alyce Keegan's Clothing Class to practise. :)

I added quite a bit of glitter with Zig's Wink of Stellar to her hair and dress and I hope that is visible in the second photo. For the butterfly, I added gold glitter to match the DSP. The whole purple theme may seem a bit too much to some but this is my favourite colour (besides pink). : p

I am entering this card for Art by Miran's #32 Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great day or good night!

Look who popped out of the cupcake!

I have a back load of TIddlyInks Images waiting to be coloured, and finally coloured this for a little girl's birthday. I made a notebook cover with her name and some sticker flowers. That should make her feel special. Now, I just need to find time to colour the other cute TiddlyInks images!

Of Flowers and Butterfly

Found this image from LOTV so cute and relaxing. I used it to customise a notebook cover for a little girl named Caitlin.

I'll probably used it again soon for a card as I find it so adorable! I'm submitting this entry for the very first challenge that I'm taking part in:

Kiss Me

Love this image from Jade Dragonne. Her hair turned out pretty well-coloured, thanks to Alyce Keegan from Kit and Clowder for her colouring lessons. :)

Copic colours used for her hair are E71,E73, E75 and E79, my favourite hair colour combination at the moment. For her pink dress, I used R81, R83 and R85.

I laminated the whole assemble and turned it into an A5 notebook cover. This customised notebook is for sale at SGD15. Interested parties can email me.

Thank you for visiting my blog and have a good day!

TiddlyInks - Hello Pets

I was inspired by Kimberly Brown to purchase and colour this cute image from TiddlyInks. Her chosen colours for the two dragons are so beautiful and cute! Fortunately, I have these colours too and could follow her selected colours. My boys love it and I made "ice dragon" and "fire dragon" bookmarks for them.

Ice dragon and fire dragon bookmarks
I also made a "forest dragon" for my son's classmate. My elder boy showed the dragon picture to his friends and she requested for it. Glad to oblige. :)

Gorjuss The Collector

Finally coloured this image after buying the stamp some time ago. Love the red. I will have to find time to turn this into a book cover or simply a bookmark.

Made this series of Valentine's Day cards as I was in the mood. Made all five cards over one weekend for five friends. Not too bad!

Hello Curvy Keepsake Boxes!

I felt in love with the stampin up curvy keepsake thinlits and had to get it. Many feel the same way and I see tons of boxes created from it.

Here, I took inspiration from Kelly Kent (www.mypapercraftjourney.com) for the cookie monster keepsake box, Nancy Dawson (creativewishes.blogspot.com) for the minion keepsake box, and Darla Watson (Scrap Happens Here.blogspot)  for the piggy boxes. These ladies are so creative!
